Professor Larry Chow has obtained his degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and Doctor of Science from the Harvard University. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His research focuses on the development of small molecules in reversing cancer drug resistance and parasitic diseases. He has published over 70 papers and 8 patents. He has received the Special Award and Gold Medal from the Geneva Innovation Exhibition and the President’s Awards for Outstanding performance/ Achievement from PolyU in both Teaching and Research (Team) category.
He is also the Director of Research and Innovation Office overseeing the administrative support of all research-related activities at the PolyU.
