Mr. Mikio Tanji

His career started from The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, Ltd. (LTCB) followed by the secondment to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. After worked in the United States at a subsidiary of LTCB, he managed the interest rate policy as well as portfolio management at Business Planning Division then supported corporate customers’ entry to Asian countries at Asian Division as Associate General Manager of both organizations. Since 1995, when he left LTCB, he served as Senior Consultant at Jomon Associates, Executive Assistant to President at Shin Ginko Tokyo Co., Ltd., and Senior Managing Executive Officer at Aruze Corporation. He has been COO and Managing Director of DEFTA Partners as well as GM of DEFTA Healthcare Technologies, L.P. from 2017. Mr. Tanji joined the Alliance Forum Foundation in 2009 and has been in his current position since 2017. He has been a President & CEO of Bacchus Bio innovation since March 2021He is also a Juris Doctor, and a Director of Japan Initiative.
