Xiao Ding PhD is vice president, Head of Chemistry and DMPK, Insilico Medicine. Dr. Xiao Ding received her Ph.D. degree in drug design from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. She then spent 6 years in the discovery and development of small molecule innovative drugs at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as program leader, of Neurodegeneration DPU. In 2017, Dr. Ding joined Roche innovation center Shanghai, as project leader in Medchem department and scientific lead for Roche Incubator. In 2021, Dr. Ding joined Insilico Medicine as Head of Chemistry, responsible for utilizing Insilico’s cutting-edge AI platforms to discover novel small-molecule drugs for internal pipelines and external collaborations in drug R&D. In her career, Dr. Ding successfully developed multiple preclinical candidate compounds/clinical compounds for the treatment of cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, Parkinson’s disease, and anti-infection disease. Dr. Ding published 36 peer-reviewed papers and 24 patents.
