Garnet Chan is a theoretical scientist whose interests span the breadth of quantum science across chemistry and physics. Prior to his appointment at Caltech, he was the A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University. His fundamental work over the last two decades has been recognized by many awards, such as the Baker Award of the US National Academy of Sciences and the American Chemical Society’s Pure Chemistry Award.
