Born in Hong Kong, graduated Hong Kong University Medical School in 1974. Neurology trained at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1977-1980. Joined Neurology at University of British Columbia in 1985.


First publication on the use of botulinum toxin in cervical dystonia in literature (1985, 1986)

Introduced “Tsui Scale” for assessing the severity of cervical dystonia which has become widely used in clinical trials.

Introduced using randomized videotaping for patient assessment in double-blind studies in the area of movement disorders.

Hosted multiple skills workshops on the technique of therapeutic botulinum toxin injections.
